Installation Steps

Enable Unknown Sources

Before installing the APK, you need to allow your device to install apps from unknown sources.

For Android 8.0 and newer:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps & notifications
  2. Tap Special app access
  3. Tap Install unknown apps
  4. Find your browser app (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
  5. Toggle Allow from this source to ON

For older Android versions:

  1. Go to Settings → Security
  2. Check the box for Unknown sources
  3. Tap OK when prompted

Download the APK

Click the download button above to get the agatha APK file from Google Drive. The file is about 80MB and should download quickly on most connections.

Install the App

Once the download is complete, follow these steps:

  1. Open your device’s Downloads folder
  2. Find the Beta-0-1-0.apk file
  3. Tap on the file to start installation
  4. If prompted, tap Install
  5. Wait for the installation to complete
  6. Tap Open when finished
Tip: The installation usually takes 1-2 minutes depending on your device.

First Launch

When you first open agatha, you’ll need to:

  1. Grant permissions – Allow location access for the walking features
  2. Sign in – Use the account you created on this website
  3. Select a venue – Choose where you want to play
  4. Start walking – Begin your mystery adventure!

Troubleshooting Common Issues

“Install blocked” error appears
This means unknown sources aren’t enabled. Go back to Step 1 and make sure you’ve enabled installation from unknown sources for your browser app.
App won’t install
Try restarting your device and attempting the installation again. Some devices require a restart after changing security settings.
“Parse error” during installation
This usually means the APK file is corrupted. Try downloading it again. Make sure the download completes fully before attempting installation.
App crashes on startup
Check that you have at least 100MB of free storage space and that your device is running Android 6.0 or newer.
Location features not working
Make sure you’ve granted location permissions to agatha. Go to Settings → Apps → Agatha → Permissions and ensure Location is enabled.
Can’t sign in with website account
Double-check your email and password. If you’re still having trouble, try resetting your password on the website first.
App is slow or laggy
Close other apps running in the background. agatha works best when it has access to more device resources.
Walking distance not tracking
Make sure you’re walking outdoors or in large open spaces. GPS tracking works best with clear sky visibility.

  • Android Version: 8.0 or newer
  • RAM: 4GB or more
  • Storage: 500MB free space
  • Screen: 5.5″ or larger for better gameplay
  • Battery: 3000mAh or larger for extended play
